Definition
of Taizendo
Taizendo is a new style of martial arts which was made up after
gathering and consolidating Japanese traditional martial arts for
the purpose of protection of your own body and the spirit.
What
Taizendo means [TAI] means body,
[ZEN] means total, and [DO]
means idea and method. Thus, the name of Taizendo represents Comprehensive
physical method (Total Self-defense martial arts)
as well as Implementation of idea by use of
the whole body (peace activity via physical and mental control).
Purpose and policy of Taizendo
Taizendo is a method of not only self-defense but also self-control
and good coexistence with others. Thus, you can say that the main
purpose of Taizendo is, by way of popularization of its techniques,
to learn how successfully people around the world can coexist and
develop together as well as to establish networks which help to
build globally peaceful environment.
Self-defense techniques
Lessons of Taizendo teach you how to protect yourself via unarmed
one-to-one fight. Nevertheless, unlike traditional karate and judo,
Taizendo techniques do not aim to determine the winner nor to beat
up your opponent with your accumulated force. Taizendo is a skill
to avoid fighting and promote reconciliation preferably without
harming neither the opponent nor yourself.
